science is as important as recreation and creative stimulation… as well as sports, music, etc… so, just find a balance between these

Sponge bob does not come even close to the aforementioned Cartoons and loony toons started in 1929 were original for adult and long before TV even existed.

GI joe is a toy from 1964.
Transformers toy and show both started in 1984 not after the toy.
Both predate research of the effect of TV on kids.

At least both taught kids something sponge bob teaches nothing and is only selling advertising space.

Face it Sponge bob is crap!

  4. DarthSkater6 said

WRONG! Both GI Joe and Transformers were toys before they were shows. The shows came after as a way to sell more toys. Both were essentially 21 minute commercials. The morals taught were there to keep parents happy buying the toys.

Looney Tunes however taught no morals but delivered grade A comedy by way of brilliantly directed animation. No marketing ploys, just the art and Spongebob is no different. If it gets popular enough sure you’ll see it on lots of products – fruits of labor.

That is how kid dressed in the 90’s little boy maybe you are too young or stupid to understand that this video is old.

You are definitely an insecure loser you think sponge bod is cool that is laughable it is pure loser programming.

  6. pranays said

Well your job is a waste of time maybe you losers should spend time making real programming that entertains and educates.

I guess you are too stupid to educate even young children so you make garbage that people should not let their children watch.

Even GIjoe and transformers tough kid’s morals and responsibility in my day; but now you guys make garbage and pawn it off on our children in order to market them crap.

You and your kind are filthy leaches targeting the most impressionable.

  7. DarthSkater6 said

Why would I lie about that? What’s to gain? I don’t have to prove myself to you, you’re a douchebag hippocrite. Calling me a loser when you think kids are going to chose watching a dawkins lecture over a cartoon! Look in the crowd in this video, fuckhead! No offense to them but they’re dorks, you can’t make the distinction because you are one (full offense to you)

I MAKE shows like spongebob it’s my carreer, of course I’m going to take an active interest you unbeliveably dense retard.

  8. pranays said

Bullshit you play WOW you are a geek and very unpopular and have been all your life.

Sponge bob sucks and only outcast little loser boys like you watch it just because your friends tell you too.

What a loser you truly are.

  9. DarthSkater6 said

Drugs, crime, sex, these are peer pressure issues. Did my last sarcastic comment not make you grasp how ridiculous it is to tie Spongebob in with these things?

I’ve been playing hockey since I was seven, still do, I’m the captain of my mens league team. I play softball and hit the 3rd most home runs in the league last summer. Your assumptions however…. swing and a miss.

  10. pranays said

    Your last comment stated
“Think about a 10 year old kid in school and all the cool kids are talking about the most popular show. Your outcast of a kid has to explain that his douchebag dad won’t let him watch a G rated show”

    Is that not peer pressure?

You are an Idiot you clearly were never one of the “cool” kids if you think what you watch make you popular that is just retarded what sports you play has a way higher influence on popularity but a geek like you would not know that.

  11. DarthSkater6 said

    Peer pressure…. to watch Spongebob?

Yeah I’ll never forget the horror when I caught my nephew watching it. He was out of control going “ha ha ha” every few minutes, I didn’t know what to do! It just starts with an episode or two and next thing you know they’re buying the DVD’s and getting “sponged” or “bobbing out” even on weekdays! Help us Oprah!

  12. pranays said

What a load of crap clearly you are a child still.

Letting a kid watch a show because his/her friends do? Are you really that fucking stupid?

Raising a child to follow peer pressure you are the Dumbest fuck I have ever seen.

You need to get the sand out of your cunt you are getting all bent out of shape, making a flawed defence of crap animation and garbage TV.

Clearly morons like you are responsible for the crap on TV today.

You are an Idiot Grow up.

  13. DarthSkater6 said

Also kids are going to watch whatever their going to watch anyway. Your kid would lie and just watch it over at a friends house in spite of you. Seeing how other kids don’t have dictator dads will lead your kid starts viewing home as prison and other houses as sanctuary =
the blueprint for a future runaway. Who’s raising the delinquent now?

We’re talking about f ‘ing Spongebob not Silence of the Lambs. It’s harmless fun.
Get the sand out of your vagina and let kids be kids.

  14. DarthSkater6 said

Waste their life? So you’ve never enjoyed a cartoon in your life? Go ahead and lie with a smug-ass “no” you fucking TV Nazi.

Think about a 10 year old kid in school and all the cool kids are talking about the most popular show. Your outcast of a kid has to explain that his douchebag dad won’t let him watch a G rated show = instantly labeled a pussy right there. Oh no way, kids are so nice and understanding right? You’d be throwing him to the wolves with that nerd ammo.

  15. pranays said

Listen you fuck just because people waste their life making something does not make it good.

It is mindless garbage plain and simple!

Your comment “if you DENY them the RIGHT to watch it they will HATE you.”

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my life.

My parents did not let us watch many shows that were popular and we do not hate them that is why losers like you raise juvenile delinquents.

Grow the fuck up you moron.

  16. DarthSkater6 said

SpongeBob is not crap, you dork.
Animators such as myself slave for weeks to produce mere seconds of a cartoon of it’s caliber.

Just because it has no real educational value doesn’t mean it has no value at all. Show like it open windows into kids imaginations, unveils new worlds and deliver some laughs along the way.

It is the most popular kids show for a reason and if you DENY them the RIGHT to watch it they will HATE you.

How well will they grow up hating their censoring dork dad?

  17. DarthSkater6 said

you like commenting on other peoples vids but disable the commenting on yours, then through commenting urge them to watch your uncommentable videos.

    You suck, get lost.

  18. BeekersSqueakers said

Funny, today when we see someone wearing a backwards baseball cap we automatically label them a douchebag.

  19. BIZEB said

Hah, I can’t help but to agree with you at that… Maybe I should have said “could have been done” instead of “would have”.

  20. gagaplex said

With soulless Power Point slides, no doubt.

  21. BIZEB said

The MRI was a pretty recent thing. It’s so much fun watching these lectures that aren’t so recent. We get the feeling of how different the world was just 20 years ago, and how much our technology has evolved. I wonder how these lectures would’ve been done nowadays.

  22. pranays said

I just watched the whole series great work.

My kids will grow up watch this type of show rather than sponge bob, or the other crap kids watch these days.

  23. MattHunX said

    How about…NO.

  24. nattt23 said

Haha, although I don’t agree with the first part your argument, I love you conclusion!
