Some dates or captions in my book look wrong — how do I fix them?

Updated Jul 24, 2026 1 min read 91 reads

My Social Book prints your content exactly as it's stored on your social account. We don't set or rewrite dates, captions or text ourselves — we import whatever is already there on Facebook, Instagram or Dropbox. So when a date or caption looks off in your book, it's reflecting how that post or photo is currently saved on your account.

To correct it, fix it at the source and then rebuild the book:

  • Open the post — or the individual photo — on Facebook and correct its date or text there.
  • Remember that a Facebook post and each photo inside it carry their own separate dates. It's the photo's own date that decides where it lands in your book, so changing only the post date often isn't enough.
  • Once the source is right, recreate your book in the editor so it pulls in the updated information.

If instead the year printed on your cover doesn't match the content inside, that's a separate topic — see "Why does my book cover year/dates not match the content inside?"
