It says "This date is outside your book" — what should I do?
The photo or post you are adding carries a date that falls outside the period your book covers, so there is no page for it to go on. The message shows both dates so you can see the gap.
You have two choices. Change this post's date lets you pick a day inside the book — the right choice if the date was simply wrong. Extend my book widens the period so the date fits — the right choice if the photo really is from then.
One thing to expect with Extend my book: the book is recalculated for the new period, which also brings in anything from your connected account in those extra dates. Your page count and price can change, so check both afterwards.
Where to find it: appears when you press Import or Publish to the book from Add content.
