How To Create A Love Themed Photo Book
A lot of us spend a long time searching for “the one”. When they turn up all we want to do is tell them how much they mean to us. Unless you’re William Wordsworth, however, this can be quite a difficult task. Even if you are able to come up with some kind of poem or declaration of love, you’d have to be pretty talented to get through it without a variety of stutters and an excessive amount of sweating.
Saying how we feel is hard. But thankfully, there is a way to get through it. If you want to show your partner how much they mean to you, then pictures are just as good at conveying your emotions than words are. With a carefully orchestrated photobook, you can build the perfect book of love. All you have to do is find your favourite Instagram memories together and, with just a little bit of creativity and attention, you can make a photo book straight from your Instagram that says everything you wanted to say.
But how do you make something this special? Well, any photobook is special. But there are certain things you can do to ensure this stays on your partners shelf forever:
Include A Backstory
Of course, when you’re trawling through your Instagram page, you will most likely be looking for photographs of you and your partner together. To start off a love themed photo book, however, it can be a good idea to look a little deeper. Try to find photographs that include the journey you both took to get to each other.
Involve some pictures of you a few months before the first date, or perhaps even a few days before. Maybe include a small countdown which culminates in a picture of that initial meeting. This will help your photobook formulate a story, which is always something to strive for if you want to create something that will engage the reader and ensure they want to keep coming back to experience that story all over again.
A Picture Speaks A Thousand Words
We’re all familiar with the saying “a picture speaks a thousand words”, but it is important to really take it on board when you’re creating your partner’s photo book. Remember, this book is a way to communicate how much you love the person you are gifting it to. In this way, you should find the one picture which says everything about your relationship and the love you have for each other.
Of course, the book is going to be filled with pictures, but with any good photo book there should be a stand-out photograph which makes a statement. This can be at the beginning or in the middle, but it works best when it steals the show on the very last page. As to what that picture is, only you can know. Scroll through your Instagram and wait for something that makes you double-take. Something that makes you fall back into the memory and gives you the butterflies which only happen when you’re close to them. It can be big and choreographed or it can be small and intimate. Whatever it is, make sure you give it the page it deserves.
Pop The Question
If you are creating an Instagram photo book which tells your partner just how much you love them, then, if you think the relationship is strong enough, you could even go the extra mile and use the same book to pop the question. Not only is this a romantic method of engagement, but it can also form the perfect keepsake after you have proposed, as you will be able to keep that memory on the shelf and look back on it whenever you want.
In order to do this, however, it is best to tell your story chronologically. Include photographs that show the two of you before you met, the first date, the second date, the third date, the first Christmas, the first birthday, onwards and onwards until you get to the present. Then, on the very last page, ask your partner whether they want to share the rest of their life with you.
Of course, this does put a bit more pressure into getting your photo book right, but there is absolutely no rush. As mentioned previously, all you need is a bit of patience and creativity and you will not only create something special, but a catalyst for the rest of your life.
